Eshu: The Divine Trickster and Messenger of the Yoruba

Eshu is the unpredictable and cunning trickster deity of Yoruba mythology, known for his role as messenger between the gods and humans. As the master of crossroads, language, and fate, Eshu has the power to bring both fortune and confusion, often challenging rigid systems or expectations to reveal deeper truths. Revered for his intelligence and feared for his capriciousness, Eshu ensures that divine intentions are interpreted correctly—or, at times, deliberately twisted to test human character.
