Perkūnas: Baltic God of Thunder and Justice

Perkūnas, the Baltic god of thunder, was a fierce and righteous force who hurled lightning bolts across the heavens. Ruler of storms and sky, he rode a chariot drawn by goats and waged eternal battle against his nemesis Velnias, a serpent-like god of chaos. For the ancient Lithuanians and Latvians, Perkūnas was a bringer of rain and justice—feared by the wicked and praised by farmers desperate for summer storms to nourish their crops.

Perkūnas embodied more than raw weather; he was a moral force, the divine enforcer of law and cosmic balance. His booming thunder was seen as divine judgment echoing over forests and fields.
